Laura graduated from James Madison University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelors of Science in Health Studies in 2013. She then began her career as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department but quickly realized her passion was in women’s health so transitioned to working on a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Unit for six years. Laura most recently worked as a phone triage registered nurse at an OB/GYN office and enjoyed the change of helping women all throughout the lifespan. She also is a Certified Lactation Counselor and loves helping families accomplish their feeding goals; whatever they may be! At Women in Motion Laura serves as our Clinical Operations Manager handling everything from new patient intake to making sure your experience is smooth from check in to check out. She also is the director of our lactation program and who you will see for any of our lactation services. When not in the clinic, you can find her running, running after her kids, or playing golf with her husband.
