Melissa Scaletty
RN/ BSN
Office Manager
Melissa is a military spouse and a mom of 6. She graduated from Baker University
School of Nursing in 2004. She’s always had a passion for new moms and babies and
so began her career as a labor and delivery nurse. She spent the first 12 years working
at hospitals all over the country to include Colorado, Kansas, and Alaska. After taking a
break from nursing during her family’s time abroad she changed from hospital care to
working in a pediatric clinic as their phone triage nurse. When the Army caused her
family to change locations during the height of COVID she did private duty nursing for a
gentleman with severe disabilities. It was there she realized the impact she could have
by being a health resource for families during some of their most difficult and vulnerable
times. Prior to moving to Charlottesville this past summer, she spent the last 2.5 years
living the island life adventure in Hawaii. While in Hawaii she used her nursing skills at
the opposite spectrum of the life cycle as she joined the hospice world caring for the
dying patient while supporting their families. At Women in Motion Melissa serves as our
Clinical Operations Manager handling everything from new patient intake to making
sure your experience is smooth from check in to check out. When not in the clinic, you
can find her running, trying new restaurants with her husband, chauffeuring kids around
town, watching all the HGTV rehab shows, or traveling the world.
